Burnt Ash (3-1) BEHC W3

The Women’s 3s went into a tough match with Burnt Ash looking to make amends for last weeks loss.
We started really brightly with took a deserved early lead after some great running down the right by Alex and the resulting cross was finished neatly by Isla into the corner of the goal.
Burnt Ash were extremely well drilled though and one a short corner a few minutes later which they finished to level the scores. They followed this up with two more later in the half including a lucky lob over the stricken Ellie to make it 3-1 at half time.
During the break we regrouped and restarted the 2nd half well, raising our level higher and harassing Ash and not letting them build a platform in the second half, with great defensive work from Rachel and Beth spoiling Ashs attempts to attack us.
Short corners were our Achilles heel again, with Frankie almost finishing off a TikTok move, only to be spoiled by the Ash keeper, unfortunately that was the closest we went in the second half and the game ended 3-1.
