Herne Bay (7-0) BEHC 3’s

An away game too top of the Herne Bay 1s was always going to be a tough game but we weren't going to let that get to us and we came into the game full of confidence ready to cause a shock.

The game started evenly with both sides getting chances but not taking them but as the half wore on Herne Bay started to take more control scoring two well worked goals to take go into half time 2-0.

We weren't disheartened though as we had our share of chances too and knew we could get goals back.

Unfortunately in the second half we began to tire from the effort of keeping Herne Bay at bay and they scored a third from a short early in the half.

We then won a flick when Isla was cleaned out by the HB keeper with Daisy stepping up to take the flick was going for the corner until the outstretched keeper managed to deflect it.

HB then scored to quick goals in response to put the game beyond doubt not helped by the cards begining to fly with Nu and Lily collecting cards.

12 minutes with 10 players meant we were fighting am uphill battle at the end and HB scored another two team goals and Blackheath were destined not score on the day despite our best efforts with 3 short corners in a row.
