"60% of the time, it works every time!"

A full compliment of players (eventually!) turned up to take on Faversham Ladies away.
As well as the away team being present in force, so too were the pigeons as the car's new "paint job" will testify! As usual BOE started slowly and the defence withstood some early pressure whilst the midfield found their top gear but once found it was full throttle for the rest of the game. Some awesome combinations in the midfield, particularly between Sarah and Nicole on the right, kept steady pressure on the home team until an unlucky break saw the hosts go 1-0 up. The game continued to be dominated by the visitors and a well deserved equaliser from Sue drew us level. Some strong defending from Sandie and fantastic scrambling cover from Beth quashed anymore threat from Faversham and BOE did everything but score from a strong period of pressure in the form of several short and long corners.
A great team effort from every single player resulted in a very enjoyable match and showed what promise this awesome team has. A well deserved Man Of The Match went to Sarah with Nicole and Beth in joint 2nd and the lovely Sophie scooped Lobster Of The Day for being geographically challenged & only finding the pitch with 15 minutes of play remaining. Such was Carmel's amusement at Sophie dressed as a lobster, our favourite Kiwi snorted into her lager shandy in the usual ladylike style to which we've become accustomed. Good on ya Carms.
Thanks to Angela for another sterling umpiring performance.
Final thought: let's keep this momentum going and as the legendary Brian Fantana once said "60% of the time, it works every time!"
