Hail at Holcombe

Fabulous effort from all on sat, it was a fight to the bitter end closing on a 2 -2 draw. We went in with a winning spirit and full of excitement for our third from last game. Is it just me or are there more and more moments of getting to a game and thinking 'oh these are young, must be helping their mums club out' I seem to forget I've been playing for blackheath for nearly 10 years now!!

A win would have been marvellous but it was a satisfying game non the less! The ball rarely got out of our attacking half for the first 20 mins, it was a pleasure to watch from the back. The sound of sue smacking the short corner onto the backboard was a pleasure. A new formation with 4 at the back turned out to be unwarranted as there wasn't much to defend (as everyone else was playing so awesomely) so as much as we loved watching you all play a blinder Megs, berry, Sandie and I had to go back to 3 for the second half. New layout worked well and everyone played like a dream together, you can see in mates picture the effort that was going in. Beth you belong on our halls of fame with that one, as always you played a blinder! We saw the return of super Abbi in the second half, where have you been hiding those moves misses, well deserved joint wotm with super sue. Some tackling of our own players earned Astou Dotd, but don't be deflated, you also earns your stripes on the pitch. Jojo Please keep bringing your school friends to join our club, then the rest of us can finally start our vets team ;)

Sandra saved some beauts as usual, my favourite was the one under her foot which came like lightning. Pretty sure no one knew where the ball was for a while! The score at the end could definitely have been different if it wasn't for you so cheers love. With the snow falling fast we fought like warriors till the end so let's keep up the enthusiasm for this weeks game and get ourselves a win.
