Another cold night under floodlights, unlike last week, this time the squad list played like a team. It is fair to say the match was always ours to win and, indeed, loose.
The opposition was fit and fast, however, it fair say any individual skills they had did not match the overall skill and experience of the Highwaymen.
Within 30 minutes we were up 2-0 from goals by David Linton. By the end of the first half the Highwaymen scored from a short (Matt Robinson) and added a 4th from Greg Dowse.
The cold and old age set in during the 2nd half with the opposition pulling 2 goals back. The game was sealed by a 5th goal - this time from Christian Manito.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying game of hockey thanks the the opposition and the umpires.
