In a league of their own

The Highwaymen anticipated a tough game against the league leaders, who were scoring an average 7 goals a game.
The game started well with a goal by the David Linton and for a 10minutes we thought we had the measure of the opposition. Alas not so. Despite the energy and effort by the Highwaymen, the Nomads relentlessly took the Highwaymen apart with 10 goals in the next hour!
The Nomads are a talented, youthful (no one under 20) and a well coached squad. Plus we faced a ferocious drag flicker who made the home team defence to go for face masks at every short corner - something we have never needed before at our level!
The Nomads would need to be playing our 3s before they are really stretched at BEHC.
The game was played in good spirit and the Nomads stayed after the game tea and beers. They have no doubt they are in the wrong league but what can they do..........?
The good news is that we are unlikely to play them again!
