Canterbury are delighted to be hosting the County U12 Championships for both Girls and Boys on Sunday 10th March and are looking forward to welcoming you to
The boy's competition will be in the morning, getting underway at 09.00. and the girls' tournament will run through the afternoon from 13.30pm. There should be some pitch space free for warm ups prior to the first game in both competitions. I will not circulate a complete draw until closer to the competition as last minute changes cause chaos!
At present we are expecting the following clubs to be taking part. Any errors, please let me know. Would clubs who have entered B teams, please confirm if you want these to play in the main competition or the development tournament:-
Boys
Sevenoaks - A + B
Holcombe - A
BEHC - A + Dev
Ashford - A
Burnt Ash - A
Marden - A + B
T Wells - A
Canterbury - A + B + Dev
Folkestone - A
Brombecks - A + Dev
Gore Cout - Dev
Anchs - A
BBHC - Dev
Please Note...
The regulations state that all teams should have a fully kitted keeper, however not all clubs have a goalie in this age group and in fact the 'triangular' system has allowed clubs to play without a GK throughout the season. We would expect teams entering the main A competition to have keepers, however we will be more flexible in the development tournament. Teams will be able to participate with seven field players and no keeper, however there will be no adjustment to the rules to accommodate this arrangement - i.e. kicking backs will NOT be allowed, and penalty corners will be played in all games. If any clubs have concerns about this arrangement, please contact me.
Every team needs to have an umpire who will be officiating their own games.
Each team is responsible for providing their own first aid kit.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
