Bees and Bunnies stung by Lions and Tigers

Blackheath's Bees and Bunnies - our Under-12 girls teams - took on Burnt Ash and Sevenoaks' Lions and Tigers teams on 19 February.
There were a number of great performances, but overall Sevenoaks proved a little too strong - though when the sides come face to face again on 5 March it could be a different story.
The Bees started against the Lions and lost 3-0, while on the other pitch the Bunnies slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Burnt Ash. Then it was the Bunnies turn to take on the Lions and lost 2-0.
The Bees, meanwhile, improved and held Burnt Ash to a 1-1 draw.
But there was little doubt who the best team were on the day - Sevenoaks Tigers. They had started with a 8-0 demolition of Burnt Ash, and the Bees suffered an identical defeat to them. So it was left to the Bunnies to provide the Tigers' toughest test of the day, restricting the Tigers to just three goals.
Despite the scores, considering how relatively new our junior section is compared to the established might of Sevenoaks, the day represented a huge progress for the club.
