Under-12 girls' side storm to victory with three wins out of three in a triangular tournament at Burnt Ash

Blackheath Porcupines stormed to an unprecedented success at Burnt Ash on Sunday 5 March, winning all three matches in a triangular for the first time.
The Porcupines edged out the hosts in the opener thanks to a neat finish from Isabel Wallace.
Next up was the prospect of Sevenoaks - a side the under-12 girls' C team had never beaten. In an inspired move the manager promised the Porcupines a reward of chocolate cake if they could overcome their long-standing nemesis. It worked.
The Porcupines produced their best-ever performance to record a brilliant 3-0 win thanks to two goals from Naomi Goundry and a third from Nell Williams.
The final match was against Tunbridge Wells. The Warriors had drawn with Burnt Ash and edged out Sevenoaks 1-0, meaning the Porcupines only had to avoid defeat to win the tournament.
In the end that prospect was never in any doubt. Naomi scored within the first minute and further goals from Katie Lawrence and Amelia Couper, saw Tunbridge Wells' challenge comfortably brushed aside 3-0.
There were also fine performances from Tamsin Atkins, Isla Thomas and Katie Brown.
It sealed a perfect day for the Porcupines and emphasised how far the team has progressed in a year.
Next Sunday the Porcupines are in action once again - this time as hosts at Colfes.
