Blackheath Falcons began the new season with a tough set of fixtures on Sunday. Entertaining, teams from Marden, Tunbridge Wells and Burnt Ash, the under-12 girls side finished with two wins - 1-0 victories over Burnt Ash and Marden's second string.
However, there were narrow defeats to both Tundbridge Wells' sides and a strong Marden first team.
Tunbridge Wells A topped the seven-team tournament, winning all of their six games, with Marden finishing second with five wins from their six.
For the Falcons, there were a number of new combinations with Nina and Evie moving up well from the under-10s section. Ellie played well in goal. In defence Amelia was outstanding. Ria, Sumi, Analiva, Naomi and Isla played well in midfield and Isabel can take great pride in tucking away one of the winning goals.
