Platters Matter
Dartford were intimidating in numbers. BEs had fallen to ten. BEs were arriving in dribs and drabs. Dartford, en masse. This generous platter of victory nibbles was being handed out and consumed by Dartford from the club house to the pitch. BEs played with full intent on beating Dartford at every point, getting there first, winning tackles and scoring the first goal. But discipline soon frayed at the edges and Dartford, full of motivational mezze, rent the cloth, scoring an equaliser and then threatening to go ahead, only stopped by an over-worked defence and great goalkeeping by Caitlin. BEs worked hard but could not re-weave in time to have what should have been, a delicious victory.
