The first away game for the W2s saw them take on the long drive down country lanes, past a pheasant or two, to take on Edenbridge at Lingfield College.

The 2s were looking to maintain their winning start to the season, however it wasn't to be. A tight game saw the experienced Edenbridge side take the lead in the first half, and then cling on throughout the second half despite Blackheath stepping up the attack. Early in the second half, Edenbridge could have extended their lead, however some important saves from Sarah, and the pressure of putting the ball into an open goal, kept it at 1-0.

Blackheath came close on multiple occasions later in the second half, with the ball frustratingly slipping outside the post instead of into the goal, so the final score remained at 1-0.

Fueled by sandwiches and school cake, the team headed back still feeling positive, but with lots to work on for next week.
