Another Victory with an Early Lead

Blackheath Women’s twos came back from an unfortunate loss last win, to a win at home this week. The game started off to a strong start after an attacking short corner was won in the first 2 minutes of the game. Blackheath kept this pressure on, and not long after, a goal was secured by Ellie to create a 1-0 lead for the twos.

The game continued with many stop-start calls from the umpire, frustrating both Blackheath and the opposition too. With only a single goal lead, the twos could not take their foot off the pedal, and continued to deliver high energy hockey across the pitch with attempts on goal and narrow misses. However, the team were able to hold strong and secure another win for themselves.

DOD went to Frances for a green card after subbing on too far from the half way line.
