Penultimate match of the season and BEs were looking to score, score, score. But despite the intention, players and sunshine, the modus operandi was struggling to deliver it from the start. There was a lot of sprinting, dribbling and general focus, but not necessarily at the same time, on the same team and in the general direction of DFs goal area. The first half was full of thwarted attempts, but the second half saw a more uniform approach by BEs to attack and defend with a modicum of grit. Emily was able to score two great goals with each increasing minute of passionate support by teammates, but these could only secure a draw. Once again, the much sort after ‘take no prisoners’ flow state that can mean success for BEs was absent, so a draw was some consolation.
Final Score Blackheath 2-2.
