With ten players at the ready, BEs were ready to take on the might of a typically tough and aggressive Old Wills. There was challenge aplenty. BEs worked hard to get shots on goal but couldn’t capitalise on some great crosses by Karen and Rita. Then unexpectedly, Old Wills scored and punched the wind from the BEs team. Second half, with BEs down to nine, there followed a true battle to equalise on the one hand and score on the other. Neither triumphed but the loss felt hard worked for by BEs.
Player of the match went to Emma for such effective and persistent defensive play.
