Brom Becks 2 v 3 Blackheath & Elthamians L4

After a wobble in our first game the L4's have had a great start to their new league, we have played 4 games losing only the first narrowly to now sit 2nd on the table and level on points with the leaders who we faced today, they had won all of their games convincingly and would prove to be our hardest game to date.
We began strongly and once settled moved the ball around well with a good press when they had the ball, the hard work paid off and we were 1-0 up but alas they came back soon after to level 1-1 just before half time.
In surprisingly humid conditions a well earned breather and chat and the second half was under way. Again some great passing and running back we got a short corner which was executed like something off the training pitch by Nicky and Carmel to make it 2-1 but again they came back to level.
With the second half drawing to a close we sneaked in a 3rd to go ahead again with about 5mins remaining.
Shouts from their opposition sidelines could be heard - fitness and training will keep us top, our response:
Daphne- I haven't got any air left
Nat - Neither have I only 5mins left
And so we held firm and secured the win which was all the more satisfying for being the first team to score against them.
MOM- Nat for great defensive work and guidance
WOW-Freya for playimg netball first and not being able to play (hope you won)
