Dartford (1-4) Blackheath & Elthiamans Diamond5

A grey and gloomy Saturday morning push back for the Diamonds this week but surprisingly mild. After two weeks of having a full team we were back to only 9 for this game, but ready for the challenge.
We had first push back and our midfield of Netty, Kat and Emily were soon pushing into Dartford’s half giving the forward line of Claire, Lindsay and Abi ample opportunities to take a strike on their goal.
Unfortunately for us the Dartford goalkeeper was in fine form and pulled off many amazing saves, to our frustration. We continued to press with even Cat from the defence pushing into the Dartford half to try and get that elusive first goal, leaving Sandra in defence to block of any attacks. Our patience pulled off and Netty scored the first of her 3 goals for the day.
Half time and a well earned rest, but we were soon back on pitch eager to get the second half under way. Plenty more pressure from the Diamonds and 3 more goals, 2 from Netty and 1 from Cat.B (her foray into the D paid off) to take the score to 4-0.
The last 10 minutes and Dartford managed to get into our half but were ably cut out by the midfield and the defence, but in the dying minutes of the game Dartford managed a consolation goal to end 4-1 to the Diamonds
