Unperturbed by the cold weather, at least it wasn’t raining, and with only 10 players the diamonds set about the game ready to run off the Christmas feast. Not long into the game after some pressure from the diamonds Grace picked the ball up in the D and smacked it home. Diamonds continued the pressure with some excellent work in the middle by Kat A. Soon after Grace got her second goal after some build up play from the forwards. 2-0. In the second half Grace made some lovely runs and a lovely cross from Kirsten meant Grace once again fired the ball into the net gaining her player of the match. Some lovely passing play unfortunately lead to many shots off target or air swings resulting in Joker of the day going to Netty. Some good link up play with Ita and Kat lead to one final goal although this was not given as the whistle had gone. Burnt Ash defended well but their attacks were mopped up by Sandra and Cat at the back, leaving Sue GK with nothing to do except freeze. Final Score 3-0
