It’s rare I walk away from a defeat entirely satisfied, but today was that day.

From minute 1 we were magnificent. Within 5 minutes of the game starting T Wells half courted us as we played the ball around with confidence. On 5 mins Will Nurse hit the post with a drag flick and minutes later Marcus Wilson tested the keeper from another PC, low to the left with his stick when he was going the wrong way.

Morrison and Burnham were magnificent in midfield, and with 30 seconds left of the first half, we were dispossessed at the top of their D and in a flash T wells broke and made it 1-0 at HT with a well taken goal after a ball in had hit our foot, they played the advantage to their, well, advantage.

The 2nd started with us on top again and within moments a great opportunity fell our way, but alas it didn't find the bottom corner.
We strove forward again and again, and another PC came and went after a fluffed injection. With 20 to play they nicked the ball in midfield, broke quick and after a double save tapped in at far post, fine margins indeed.

Lawrence made light work down the left with some incredible skill and crossed to Ludo Jones to half the deficit with 10 to go and with 5 to play we withdrew our GK to give us an extra player. Again the chance fell in the D, this time a little harder, and the slapped first time shot whistled past the post and went out.

Game done. I can’t describe the quality of both sides, what a match. Incredible. So proud of them.
