After a fairly turbulent season, the 2's register a very impressive 4-2 win away at Canterbury.

It was quite fitting that BOE would save their best performance for the final away trip of the season. After months of what could have been and what might have been the boys took a trip back down memory lane to the swagger of last season and won convincingly. The game also registered a return to form of 'AWOL' striker Edd Thorogood as a Balotelli like season finally looked to gain some momentum for the forward.

BOE started brightly with 2 forays down the right hand side in the first 90 seconds. In this space of time both attacks were broken down as first the mighty Will Tate caused a head injury then the rampaging Scott Dow actually drew blood in the same time that it would take Steven Gerrard to get sent off three times!

BOE looked the most likely to score with Morrison dominating midfield but it would be the hosts that broke the deadlock after 10 minutes as a lucky bobble in the D found a BOE foot and the resulting mishmash of a corner saw a simple tap in for the Canterbury forward, 0-1. BOE came back fighting and as Prem Mawaha found space on the left his drilled pass looped up of Archie's stick only for Edd Thorogood to flick the ball 1 handed over the on rushing keeper to make it 1-1. This had kicked started BOE and wave after wave of attacks saw the away side register 3 more shots on goal, all brilliantly saved by the Canterbury keeper. As luck would have it and in keeping with the rest of the season Canterbury would retake the lead with their 2nd attack as as short corner again resulted in a deflected goal and it was 1-2 at the break.

After a fairly clear message to sharpen up at the break BOE came out all guns blazing and as the Canterbury team began to fall apart BOE would equalise through Will Powell, after riding a number of suspect challenges Will calmly flicked the ball into the net, 2-2. BOE would come again and as Forshaw and Powell started to pull the strings Powell would feed the hungry Thorogood and his low finish past the on rushing keeper meant it was 3-2 and the turn around was on.

Baillie and Forshaw were solid at the back and Louis Dods was starting to have an influence at left back but it would be the pacey runs of Dow down the right that would bring about BOE's clincher. Scott went on another marauding run and won a corner. After a couple of unsuccessful deflections Thorogood decided to take aim himself and flicked the ball low into the bottom left to make it 4-2 and register his hat trick. BOE would have a number of other chances throughout the game all of which were wasted through the final pass but it was the 2's boys day and an excellent team performance saw them return back down the A2 with all 3 points.

A really good final away performance of the year and a fitting way to end their travels. This was an excellent team performance and one befitting a team in this league. A big mention and thank you to Canterbury for supplying 2 superb umpires who did a great job all day.

MOTM - Eddie Forshaw (quality at CB)
DOTD - James Morrison (a top performance ruined by a pass to the Cnaterbury CF)
