Off the back of a defeat, Blackheath arm themselves for a battle with Folkestone at the fortress known as College meadow.
The game commenced and Blackheath began with a jittery start. A few mistimed tackles, poor passes and it seemed like it was going to be a tough day at the office for BE. Folkestone provides a one off attack leading to a lovely save by the one and only cat flap. Gradually as the game developed BE began to build working the transfer leading to a long corner. A sloth like overlapping run by the one and only G seemed to surprise the opposition and a cheeky deceptive pass by Clarke meant he was in the D. A clean strike saw the ball whistle past the keeper and BE were 1-0 much to everyone’s surprise.
Half time team talk provided commentary from the boss men with typical angry man Fowler giving constructive feedback.
Second half BE were back to there best, fluidity, high tempo and creating a constant flurry of attacks to which Folkestone had no answer to. This lead to a ball being whipped in and landing to Lewis who calmly and composed placed it through the keepers legs. Folkestone who brought nothing of value provided a couple more attacks but nothing worth shouting about.
In the end a good day at the office and the promotion chase continues.
