Blackheath climb out of the relegation zone

After a difficult first half of the season, Blackheath’s 3’s were looking for a clinical start in the first game of 2018. With a strong team the game commenced. As the first half got underway the teams were evenly balanced but BBHC took the initiative and scored to make it 1-0 from a short corner. Sam Hannon made some great saves to keep Blackheath in the game. As half time was looming both Snatch and Gurpreet arrived late, with Snatch immediately coming on the pitch and changing the attacking prowess of Blackheath.

Following a riveting team talk by Ders, the second half got underway. With the game still evenly balanced, Blackheath began to attack with more impetus leading to quick movements and a clinical finish by Snatch. At 1-1 Blackheath continued to knock on BBHC’s door leading to a flurry of short corners. With a number of different plays, Blackheath were unfortunate not to convert. BBHC feeling the pressure were pinned into their half leading to another short corner. With a straight strike, Blackheath were 2-1 ahead. After going ahead Blackheath continued their assault leading to a goal by Archie and a final nail in the coffin by Snatch, scoring from the narrowest of positions. Blackheath win 4-1 and take this momentum into the next game, confident and ready to move up the table.
