Going by the scoreline needless to say there were some ups and downs to the game, as well as some comedy moments:

• Well done to Kate Petherbridge who won MoM for her great efforts in learning and playing a new formation. Great tenacity!
• Jilly Lloyd converted a goal from a short corner – the ‘Jilly Special’ lives on!
• There was a comedy slow motion own goal from ‘DoD’ Sue Moore – the balls going off the back line, no it’s not, its hit the post, she’s got this, oh no she hasn’t.
• The fabulous air shot and stumble performed by Vicky Pitt which gave her a DoD nomination.
• Green cards for Jenny Seale and Sarah Banks (yes Banksy got a card!). Sevenoaks also received 3 green cards.
• The team welcomed new faces into the squad: Sue Moore and Kate Petherbridge. Emma ‘hungry for goals’ Letchford has also returned to the team.

The Ladies 1st XI are now focusing on their first league match on the 17th Sept. Let’s forget about the bad, focus on the good, and go out to win!
