L1's Finish Pre-season On A High

Blackheath L1's started their last friendly of the new season well against Brom Becks after an inspirational team talk from Sue Moore.

They switched the ball and made some great attacking runs putting pressure on the oppo early on.

Before the first half was out Super Sue had scored from a broken down short corner thanks to some expert foot work from Hannah!!

The remainder of the half saw various attempts at goal skim past either post but to no avail.

Early in the second half Hannah head butted a stick and Lucy nearly lost an eye but the team soldiered on.

Unfortunately Ceri's sterling efforts to stop a shot from Brom Becks left her finger throbbing and unable to deflect a later lob from which Brom Becks scored.

Blackheath responded with a goal from a deflected short corner struck by Jenna and scored by Sally to win the game 2:1.

Bring on the league!!
