The ladies 1s travelled a short 20 minutes to glorious Erith to meet Bexleyheath and Belvedere HC.

Sally was so enthusiastic to play that she stared warming up on the pitch before the previous match had finished.

The play was fairly even in the first quarter until a BEHC short corner allowed Vicki B to open the scoring.
Goal 2 came from another of our many short corners, with a great shot from Amelia.

The umpire claimed not to have seen Vicky P having an opposition stick wrapped around her neck. He awarded a bully off.

An unfortunate ball to the left foot sent Flick hobbling off and saw her on the bench for the rest of the match.

The second half was goal happy with 4 goals for BEHC from Vicki B x 2, Vicky P and Amelia.

The umpire was being scrutinised and so was very keen to blow his whistle and passionate with his hand gestures. He also awarded 3 green cards. One to the opposition and one each to Wanni and Annie.

Overall the game was scrappy and not our finest hour and ten of hockey but a 6-0 is definitely nothing to complain about. (And is certainly an improvement from last year)
