W1 vs Sevenoaks acorns 5-0
After a pre match GCSE test in Radnor Houses exam hall, Sally’s wise words had the girls ready and hungry for goals! With the tunes blasting and the warm up underway, the sun came shining through. The match started strong for our girls and with some great link ups between Amelia, Laura and Vicki B, Vicki found the back board making it 1-0. Not long after, a great cross allowed Evie to take her shot into the bottom corner with a solid 2-0 head start. After some close counter attacks by Sevenoaks, Stan, Banksy and Amelie worked hard to keep the play out our half, giving Kyvelie the chance to relax and work on her tan. Amelia’s silky skills and fancy feet pulled her on to her left for a reverse shot making the score 3-0 at half time.
The result seemed promising but the girls wanted more goals. After a half time team talk from coach Annie, the girls pushed hard and Amelia’s goal count became 2 after some beautiful play allowing her to find the net once again. Some more great passing paid off and Amelia effortlessly got her third goal, a casual reverse hit giving her a hat-rick. The game finished 5-0 to Blackheath, a great result on a lovely day.
