Gore Court W1 v BEHC W1

Blackheath W1s hit the road again this week and once the pitch & “changing loos” had finally been located got off to a good start against Gore Court. They pressed high and created some good scoring opportunities but an unfortunate short corner against them resulted in a well placed drag flick hitting the net. 0-1.
Blackheath didn’t let this deter them though, immediately winning a short corner but unluckily did not convert.
The half continued with chances for both sides but the scored remained the same.
With the rain lashing down, the second half started with Gore court hungrier than ever for the win and pounced on a Blackheath mistake to increase their lead to 0-2.
Blackheath kept their heads and continued to put pressure on Gore Court with a number of attacks and short corners but just couldn’t put the ball away. Gore Court were rattled and some dubious tackling followed but it was Blackheath who bore the brunt of the blame with Vicky & Sally receiving a green & yellow card respectively in the dying minutes of the game.
