

Blackheath were involved in a closely contested, end-to-end first half with chances at both ends. They created some of the better opportunities, earning several short corners and repeatedly getting into the D, but were unable to convert their pressure into a goal before the break.
The game shifted in the second half when the opposition scored twice within a ten-minute spell to take control. An initial green card which turned into a yellow followed for the visitors , but Blackheath continued to press, winning more short corners. After a second green card Blackheath eventually was awarded a penalty flick to pull one back, scored by Annie. With Sarah coming off for the final five minutes after some amazing saves, Blackheath finished strongly with 11 outfield players and dominated the closing stages, just falling short of a dramatic equaliser. Final score 2-1.
