BEHC L2 (2-0) Cliftonville

On a rainy day, BEHC ladies 2s and Cliftonville Ladies 1s teams battled fiercely through two challenging halves, providing spectators with an exciting display of skill and determination.
Not too long into the first half and Cliftonville seemed to have the upper hand, holding onto possession. After a few passes in the D the ball was kicked into the goal by the opposition. The umpires ruled it a no goal and this increased up the ladies determination. Shortly after, Shyla and Emma teamed up to navigate the ball to Sue who deftly manoeuvred the ball past the defenders and the vigilant goalkeeper. 1-0 to Blackheath.
After a couple of increased pressure and short corners, BEHC were awarded their 3rd short corner. Hannah and Nell set up a tick tok and Sue timed the ball just right to convert it into an opportunity. 2-0 to Blackheath.
The second half was a hotly contested battle, with both teams pushing their limits and displaying unwavering commitment. Hannah, Marianna and Jess worked well together on the back line to keep Cliftonville at bay. Sian and Jen worked well together in the middle to distribute the ball out and put pressure onto the opposition. Unfortunately fatigue became a significant factor, as each team had only 11 players at their disposal. Despite the intense efforts, the rain-soaked field and exhaustion seemed to have a dampening effect on the players, no goals were scored in the second half.
In the end, the match concluded with a score of 2-0 to Blackheath.
