Cliftonville (0-2) BEHC 2

It was an early morning start for the ladies 2s with a 9:30am meet at Cliftonville, nerves were high as we really needed a win! Despite the injuries and chesty coughs, the team was pumped and raring to go!

We started off strong, dominating the game pressing up the pitch; Sian and daisy worked together passing the ball around midfield up to the forward line. Shyla played brilliantly running j-runs into the D and playing the ball into the oppos feet awarding us our first of many short corners. Short corner played and saved by the goalie.

Jen, Jess, Marianna and Hannah switched play in the back line and passed the ball up the pitch through to Sian who had a strong hit into the D where Emma made an incredible sliding strike into the goal scoring our first goal!

Half time whistle was blown and a solid team talk by Maddie pumped the team ready for second half.

Cliftonville came back very determined in the second half on the attack taking a hard strikes at goal. But it was no match for our Zoe who saved every attempt.

Blackheath quickly set up where Jen aerialed the ball into the oppos 16, Daisy picked up the ball dribbling past 3 defenders who the. played the ball into Maddy top of the D, a quick pre scan before square passing the ball to Alice who scored our second goal of the game.

Final score 2-0! With Jess winning MOM and Marianna DOD for being stroppy during half time
