A cold, drizzley and early start to the day, thankfully it started to brighten as the game went on!

Unfortunately Burnt Ash came away with the goals today, netting two in each half to take the win.

Three of the four goals came from short corners, but we can work on that! The positive... not many came from open play, which shows our structure and shape in general play is improving.

Despite the scoreline, there were some really encouraging patches of hockey. The second half in particular showed what we’re capable of — much better linking play from defence through midfield, with:

Short, sharp passes infield and back out wide.

Stronger connections between the lines.

Massive shoutout to Alice – today’s well-deserved PoM ?? - her tenacity in midfield didn’t go unnoticed, battling hard and setting the tone with her work rate.
