Despite a determined team effort under sunshine, our team fell to a 5–0 defeat in a challenging match. The opposition made a strong start, scoring three goals in the first half to take firm control of the game. We worked hard defensively throughout the opening period, trying to contain sustained pressure.
The second half saw a similar pattern, with our team showing resilience and commitment at the back. Unfortunately, one of the early setbacks came from an own goal, which extended the opponent’s advantage. Even so, the defensive unit stayed organised and continued to battle.
The scoreline didn’t reflect the effort put in by the defence, who spent long periods absorbing attacks and making important stops. Although the result was disappointing, there were positives to take from the game.
