BEHC L3s took on Gravesend L1s at home this weekend. With the bare 11x it was going to be another week of digging deep. We had some great areas of play with it looking very evenly matched. The oppo took their opportunity to go 1-0 up with a cracking short corner not to be argued with. We finished the half looking like we still had all to play for. Big shout out to GK Alexa whose was very agile & made some great saves settling well into the game.

The 2nd half was a different game. With tired legs, the mental battle to keep fighting was tough. Gravesend capitalised & started to slot away more goals. Despite our valiant efforts from our back line & Alexa there was no stopping the oppo who continued to apply the pressure. Kirsty picked up a hamstring injury & had to be covered by Isla, adaptable as always to move from midfield to the back line, & Emily from the forward line to midfield to allow Kirsty to hang high. Onali & Beth had some good spells in the middle but we found it tough in the final quarter to finish our limited attacks. The final score was a generous 4-0 to Gravesend.
